Week #57 - 'Doilies & Lace'

Welcome shabby friends - so happy you're here!  Today brings Melissa as our shabby host here in the Tea Room, and she chose this pretty inspiration photo for us all ...

... and asks that we create a card or project based on the inspiration photo and use DOILIES and/or LACE!  You are welcome to use stamps, die cuts, paper, lace, doilies, or fabric in any way you are inspired to create with ... but be sure to show us some doilies and lace!  What a YUMMY challenge :)

Note: Because we are sponsored weekly by wonderful businesses who have graciously donated products and in the interest of fairness to all participants, any entries that do not follow our simple challenge rules will remain in the gallery but will not be eligible for the weekly prizes. Thanks for your understanding and participation!

Before we get started, we have a bit of news to announce.  Kristin Wilson had to unexpectedly step down from her Design Team position for personal reasons.  So, with an open spot on our Tea Room Design Team, we asked our month-long Guest Designer, Sheri Holt, if she would be interested in stepping up into a permanent Design Team position, and she graciously agreed!  Please join me in welcoming Sheri to our shabby little family!

This left an open position in our month-long Guest Designer spot for April since Sheri was April's GDT, so we invited a couple of our Shabby Girlfriends to join us each of the next three weeks, and I'm happy to report that all three of the talented gals who were invited said YES!  This week we will be treated to a handmade card made by MELISSA PHILLIPS!  Next week we'll be inspired by BEATRIZ JENNINGS!  And the last week of April we'll have the treat of a handmade treasure from ANABELLE O'MALLEY!!!

I am pleased to introduce you all to this week's Guest Designer, Robin Shakoor, Designs by Robin!  Robin's elegant and beautiful designs are so pretty and inspirational!!

And our Special Guest Designer, Melissa Phillips - Lilly Bean's Paperie!

Do you want to be the next Month-Long Guest Designer with the Shabby Girls?  It's as simple as participating in our weekly challenges and WOW-ing us with your projects!  The Shabby Girls might be calling on YOU to be the next Month-Long Guest Designer!!!

And now for some more GOR-JUS inspiration from the Shabby Girls ...
